Anchoring has emerged as a popular career option these days as it is quite lucrative because an anchor’s face is seen by millions of families each day and is instantly recognized by people. It is a talent-based profession that requires a good command over language and sense of humour. Keeping this thought in mind, an online workshop on how to become a Junior TV Anchor was organized by Ecole, addressed by Mr Chetan D’Souza from Kids Byte. Our junior ecoliers were given some important tips on voice, poise, eye-contact, gestures etc. to develop their anchoring skills. They were taught that anchoring is an art of talking our way out of uncomfortable situations and is the most important prerequisite to become successful. Moreover, an anchor needs to be a powerhouse of knowledge to sustain in this industry. The workshop helped them to understand that anchoring is not only about entertaining the audience and saying some good lines to memorize the audience, but it is also about a good stage presentation, which is a great deal of responsibility.
