Students of Grade XII Humanities went for an educational trip to Kalsi a small town located in between Chakrata and Dehradun near Dakpatthar on the banks of Yamuna river. Kalsi is famous for the Ashokan rock edicts. The history lesson came to life as the girls saw the message of Ashoka on the policy of Dhamma in Prakrit language and Brahmi script. The students got valuable insight into the Mauryan era along with the message and influence of these inscriptions.
