A team of 40 students along with three teachers went on a 9 day trip to Japan covering Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka with a perfect mix of educational, recreational and shopping stops.
They visited famous tourist attractions like the Hachiko Memorial Statue, Miraikan- National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, Kawasaki Robostage, Tokyo Skytree, Mt Fuji, Asakusa temple and other famous shrines. The first hand experience of Japanese culture came through the delightful experience of wearing a kimono, enjoying a Japanese meal, learning Origami and by attending the Japanese tea ceremony. Shopping at Ginza, Dotonbari, Teramachi and Akihabara markets had them drowning in overflowing bags. The grand culmination of the trip was the visit to the Universal Studioswhere they enjoyed fun rides at Jurassic Park, Hogwarts and had thrilling encounters with Doraemon, Spiderman, Mario and many other favourite characters.
While the girls can’t stop talking about it and sharing pictures but we are sure there is so much more that can neither be put in words nor captured in photographs. Arigato Japan for the lovely memories. Arigato Ecole for the opportunityInter House Quiz.
