3rd August 2019: Around 200 students from different universities and schools of Dehradun came to “Dehradun Youth Summit, 2019” hosted by Ecole Globale International Girls’ School from 3rd to 4th August, 2019. The program was presided over by the honourable Chief Guest Shri Premchand Aggarwal, President, Vidhan Sabha, Dehradun accompanied by Shri Gauri Shankar, Motivational Speaker and other dignitaries from various prestigious organizations. Delhi Public School, Dehradun was arwarded with the Best Delegation Award. The students were awarded with best photographer, delegate, cartoonist, and best reporter’s awards in the presence of Mr. Tarun Juneja, Director of Ecole Globale.
The Summit aimed at engaging the youth to supplement efforts to nurture socially conscious citizens inspired to bring about positive change in the society, as an inclusive forum for youth from different socio-economic backgrounds, academic standards and gender identities . During the two days summit, there were discussions on socio-economic issues on crimes against women, political issues on Kashmir, futuristic security concerns of our country and the role of youth in democracy.
The summit provided youth with a much sought after space to develop their own ideas and step-down action plans to bring about positive impact in their communities. In doing so, it created a platform for young people to discuss and share their ideas about nagging social issues and roles youth can play to address these problems.. The festivities ended with a Vote of Thanks to the Chief Guest by Mrs. Roopa Gosain, the Officiating Principal on behalf of the entire Ecole Globale community.
