One of the recent events held in the school to encourage learning about diversity in girls’ boarding schools in India with the International Awareness Presentation. It is due to such events that these young and bright minds research about different countries and gain insights about their culture, apart from knowing about the different dimensions of each country in general.

Multi-lingual Environment

At Ecole Globale, we believe that learning does not just come from within the four walls of a classroom but also, through various literary activities. These activities aim at developing and honing the literary skills that are indispensable when it comes to the all-round development of the students. Apart from the activities held within the school, students also take part in conferences and competitions hosted by other schools of repute which provide exposure to diverse elements that aid in building their overall well-being.

In-house Competitions help not just in boosting the students’ command of the language but also, in improving their rationale and personality as a whole. One of the highlights among many such competitions held recently was the ‘Hindi Saptah’, a week that was dedicated to promoting the use of Hindi. This consists of a myriad of activities that aim at improving the student’s reading, writing and speaking skills in the Hindi language.

The language teachers at Ecole strive hard to build good linguistic skills among the students, in the first, second and third languages. Such competitions and events in and out of campus give a chance to students to fully immerse themselves in Literature.

Globalised world

Globalised world

In the pursuit of helping our students develop into global citizens, one primary program we conduct regularly is the student exchange. The Ecole Globale is an active part of the Round Square International Service (RSIS) which includes students from some of the world’s most prestigious and renowned institutes.

Through this program, not only are our students often sent abroad to participate but also sometimes our students play host to many students who visit from different countries. With students and faculty from multiple diversity in boarding schools, students are encouraged to start networking from a young age and build contacts that help them forge lifelong friendships and expand their career perspectives to a global level.

Community Outreach

Community Outreach

When living in a community separate from the outside world it becomes essential to sensitise boarders to the near and afar surroundings. In recent times, Ecoliers have taken significant initiatives in performing upliftment activities in their vicinity and beyond. At the Government Inter College, Horawala, a series of sessions, has been taken by the students to address the issue of gender inequality and make the listeners aware of women’s empowerment. Many talks have also been conducted on hygiene and sanitation, to make a difference to their daily lives.

Ecole Globale has also involved itself in the education of the underprivileged by contributing books through the Community Library Project. The volunteers not only have donated books for this library but have also contributed to designing the interior and exterior of the library. Several environment-protection endeavours have been undertaken by the girls. Plastic ban in Uttarakhand has been common over the last few years, however, some shop owners and customers still use and demand the same.

Girls from Ecole took the initiative to sensitize them by making 500 paper bags from scratch and distributing them to the nearby shops. They not only distributed these bags but also made the plastic users aware of the environmental hazards associated with the over-use of plastic. They also made them aware of how plastic is non-biodegradable and destructive. What was more interesting is that our students are genuinely sensitive about the usage of plastic and that is reflected in their attempt to convince the shop-owners to curtail this.

Other than those above, Ecoliers regularly visit orphanages and disabled care centres like Leonard Cheshire Home in Dehradun. The School makes it a point to inculcate empathy and the spirit of social service through these drives as it is more important to take part in certain activities rather than only reading about them.

We are proud to claim that Ecole Globale alumni make the most out of the multi-cultural environment we provide as they go to various parts of the country and the world and are able to adapt with ease to any cultural setting. Multiculturalism promotes principles of inclusion, democracy, and a sense of togetherness, among many other positive traits. The multicultural classroom allows students to understand and honour an enormous range of knowledge, perspectives, and insights. Students learn to share space with a variety of peers from around the world and gain the ability to operate in a truly international environment.
