Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) is a chain of alternate schools for gifted students in India. They are run by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, New Delhi, an autonomous organization under the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. JNVs are fully residential and co-educational schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, with classes from VI to XII standard.
JNVs exist all over India, with the exception of Tamil Nadu.JNVs are specifically tasked with finding talented children in rural areas of India and providing them with an education equivalent to the best residential school system, without regard to their families’ socio-economic condition. This role is similar to that formerly served by the National Talent Search Scheme which was replaced by a more generalized scholarship program in 2008. Candidates are admitted through open tests conducted by CBSE across India. The idea behind setting up Navodaya Vidyalayas was to bring out the best of rural talent and groom them at par with their urban counterparts.
Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School
Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya is an educational institution in Coimbatore, India. It was founded in 1948 by the Ramakrishna Mission. The school has a campus of 70 acres (28 ha) and follows the state syllabus. The campus includes a school hostel with dormitories for 312 students, a playground, library, multimedia room, and computer labs.

Loyola School, established in 1958, is a residential school run by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), the largest Roman Catholic religious order.
