CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2025 Begin, Over 42 Lakh Students to Appear

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially commenced the Class 10 and 12 board examinations on February 15, 2025. More than 42 lakh students are expected to take part in these exams across 7,800 centres in India and abroad.

  • Class 10 students appeared for the English (Communicative) and English (Language and Literature) papers.
  • Class 12 students took the Entrepreneurship exam.

The examinations will continue until March 18, 2025, for Class 10 and April 4, 2025, for Class 12.

According to CBSE officials:

  • Class 10: 24.12 lakh students will take exams in 84 subjects.
  • Class 12: 17.88 lakh students will appear for 120 subjects.
  • Exam Centres: The exams are being conducted at 7,842 centres in India and 26 centres abroad.

To help students manage exam-related stress, CBSE has launched its annual counselling service.

  • A team of 66 trained professionals, including principals, counsellors, special educators, and psychologists, will offer guidance.
  • Service Availability: Monday to Saturday, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
  • Global Support:
    • 51 counsellors are based in India.
    • 15 counsellors will provide assistance from Nepal, Japan, Qatar, Oman, and the UAE.

This initiative aims to provide mental health support and ease student anxiety during the examination period.

The CBSE board exams of schools in India  are a crucial academic milestone for students, determining their future educational and career paths. With strict exam guidelines and support systems in place, students are encouraged to prepare confidently and perform to the best of their abilities.
