Last year in 2020 the Government was forced to shut down the admission for class nursery , kg, Class 1 due to outspread of Coronavirus and because of that the admission was delayed but now as the Covid cases are going down and everything is coming back to normal and people are being vaccinated so the Delhi Government is all set to Launch the Delhi Nursery Admission 2021-22 on February 18 2021.
There are 1700 schools that are participating in the Delhi Nursery Admission 2021-22 including Private schools and the Registration process for the admission will start Today 18 February 2021 for the academic session of. 2021- 2022 However the announcement for this was made in advance on 10 feb 2021 and the parents are advised to take registration form online from the school’s website from 18 Feb 2021.Several other states start admissions; schools like boarding schools in India also start entries soon with proper safety guidelines.
Application for admission must be submitted before 4 March 2021 as no application will be accepted after that. The 1st list for the admission for vacant seats will be released on 20 th March whereas the 2nd list will be released after 5 day of first listing which will be on 25th March and the following list if any will be released on 27 th march and the admission process will come to an end on 31 st March 2021 and the classes will start from 1 st April 2021 and as the schools remained closed for preschool students they are advised to study online till the school are ready to open to provide classroom based learning.
Director of Education ( DOE ) Delhi has instructed schools that the number of vacant seats shall be equal to the highest number of seats in entry level admission for the last 3 year. DOE also advised schools to adopt a fair , well defined , reasonable , non – discriminatory and transparent criteria for selection of students. Moreover schools are ordered to provide their criteria and point on the online modules.
There are 75% seat reserved for general category for the admission for Nursery , kindergarten, kg , class 1 2021-22 while the 25 % are secured for EWS which is Economical Weaker Section and Disadvantaged ( DG ) Category
Important Instructions for parents –
Age Limit –
The Age limit for Nursery applicants is 3 – 4 years old while the age limit for Kindergarten is 4 – 5 years old and the age limit for Class – 1 is set to 5-6 year old as of March 31 2021.
Fees and Last Date For Registration
The only fees Parents need to pay for the registration is only 25/- Rs and the purchasing of prospectus is not mandatory and it will be kept optional for the parents . Whereas the Last date for registration is 4 March 2021 and no application will be accepted after that .
Reservation for EWS / DG category and CWSN
22% reservation is for the student of Economical Weaker Section and Disadvantaged Category while the 3 % reservation is given to the Children With Special Need ( CWSN ) And Director of Education will look after the admission of these students and it will be through the centralised process and there will be different schedule for this will be released later.

- It’s an online process so parents have to Visit the website of the school in which they seek admission for their child.
- Than go on the homepage and Click on admission for 2021-22 tab
- Login window will then be open
- Fill the required information to register your ward
- Than Upload the required documents for Admissions 2021-22
- Once successful uploaded the process is complete
Once the registration process is complete parents have to wait for the result releases date which is 20 Feb 2021 and 25 feb 2021 to find out the status of their registration for Admissions.
