JHARKHAND, Monday, 23rd December 2019: Jharkhand legislative assembly poll 2019 results on a total of 81 seats, are out amongst the strife of nationwide protests against Citizenship Amendment Act or CAA and National Registration of Citizenship or NRC- taking the persecuted minorities of the neighboring countries under the Indian flag’s umbrella.
This recent citizenship amendment bill has cost the BJP to lose grip on its powerful presence across the country and latest in the Jharkhand assembly polls. According to the concluding counting of the polls, the momentum has shifted towards the Congress- Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) alliance.
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is an influential political party in the states of Bihar, Odhisa and other neighboring states. It was founded by Binod Bihari Mahato with a purpose of developing the backwardness of the state and progressing it on the path of complete development.
On the 81 seats, the conclusive results as of Monday 23rd December IST- 9:00 PM are-
- Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)- 22 seats on a total of 30 seats.
- Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP)- 18 seats on a total of 25 seats.
- Indian National Congress- 11 on a total of 16 seats.
These three have accumulated 51 seats out of the total 81 seat legislative assembly of Jharkhand and remaining by other political parties.
Hemant Soren of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha party all set to serve another term as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated him for his success through a tweet and humbly accepted that the loss in the assembly polls is due to the nationwide upset about CAA and NRC.
