NCERT Launches Free ‘SATHEE’ Portal for JEE, NEET, and SSC Preparation

NCERT Launches Free 'SATHEE' Portal for JEE, NEET, and SSC Preparation

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has introduced a significant initiative known as the Self-Assessment Test and Help for Entrance Exams (SATHEE).

This free online platform is designed to support students preparing for competitive exams such as JEE (engineering), NEET (medical), and SSC (government services).

The SATHEE portal, developed in collaboration with IIT Kanpur, provides students with access to high-quality learning resources, expert mentorship, and self-assessment tools at no cost.

The primary objective of the SATHEE portal is to offer educational assistance to students from diverse backgrounds, especially those in rural and remote areas, who might not have access to expensive coaching services.

Over 4.37 lakh students have already registered on the platform, taking advantage of its vast array of study materials, video lectures, mock tests, and personalized mentorship from experts in top institutions like IITs and AIIMS.

Key Features of SATHEE include:

  • Expert Mentorship: Students can seek guidance from professors and senior students from prestigious institutions such as IITs and AIIMS.
  • Self-Assessment Tools: An AI-driven system helps students evaluate their progress and receive personalized recommendations.
  • Video Lectures: The platform offers more than 10,000 hours of expert-led video content in multiple languages, including regional ones.
  • Crash Courses and Mock Tests: Intensive 45-day crash courses and problem-solving sessions are also available for students preparing for exams.

The SATHEE initiative is part of the government’s efforts under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to promote equitable access to education for all, aiming to bridge the gap between students from different socio-economic backgrounds.
