NEET – PG 2021 exams schedule includes major changes in exam pattern which has left many candidates worried about the exam.
COVID pandemic outbreak has completely changed the life of a student as earlier offline classes and written exams are a part of students education but now things have completely changed as now due to virus outbreak students are shifted to online education and the majority of exams are now being taken online. Not only students but also the schools like boarding schools in India, secondary schools, educational institutions, competitive exam management faced difficulties adjusting the schedule for the exams due to uncertainty.
After almost a year as Covid cases going down world is coming back to normal and educational institutions have started realizing the schedule for the exams Just like Other Exams NEET – PG 2021 have released their schedule for the exam as earlier exams were delayed by 3 months but now it is all set and the registration for the exam has already started from 23 February 2021 to 15 March 2021. Admit cards for the candidates will be issued on 12 April, finally, the NEET – PG exam will be held on 18 th April 2021 and the result for NEET -PG exam 2021 will be declared on 31st of May 2021.
NEET – Post Graduate 2021 exam is an eligibility/ranking examination and authorized as per Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 read with 10 (D) of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 NEET PG is authorised as the only single entrance examinations for many MD / MS and other Post Graduate Diploma Courses and no other entrance exam will be considered valid for the admission for PG programmes except NEET – PG.
This year NEET – PG exams have changed exam patterns like NEET- PG 2021 will be computer-based exams and it will be held on a single day and a single session on 18 April 2021. NEET – PG 2021 will consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions( earlier there were 300 questions which were reduced )and the questions will be in English Language only. The candidates will get 3:30 hours to complete the exams. There will be 25% negative marking in NEET -PG 2021 and every correct answer will be given 4 marks, for any incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted and if candidates do not attempt a question they will receive zero marks for that question.
Students are worried by the change in the exam pattern of the NEET – PG 2021 as they believe they will get an extra time of only 21 seconds for each question however they are tensed that the question will be comparatively harder than in previous years so there are more disadvantages than advantages hence the candidates are under pressure.
Other major changes in NEET – PG 2021 are that there will be a total of 255 exam centers where exams will be conducted, Exam fees have been increased to almost Rs. 5015/- including GST for General and OBC category and Rs. 3835/- including for SC/ST/PWD category. Exams will be held under Covid -19 safety protocols and there will be a proper social distancing on the exam day.
