On 29th April a group of Ecoliers went to the Kasiga School for a Folk Dance competition. The Ecole team performed Hojagiri which is a folk dance, performed in the state of Tripura by Tripuri people of Bru Reang clan. It is performed by women and young girls in a team, singing, balancing props such as a bottle on the head. Our girls gave an absolutely crackerjack performance with graceful moves, pleasant expressions and unmatched balancing of the bottles (a daunting task indeed). We bagged the third position but our real achievement is the applause that just didn’t stop.
