Ecole Globale International Girls’ School held their 8th Founders’ Day on 8th Dec 19. The Chief Guest for the event was Ms Priya Malik an actress, columnist, stand-up comedian, poetess, Big Boss India contestant and Big Brother Australia contestant. The evening commenced with an address by the President and Founder, Mr. Amarjeet Singh Juneja. This was followed by the Ecole Symphony a rendering of live band performance and classical singing and dancing , the School Annual Report by the Officiating Principal, address by the Chief Guest, release of the Banyan, the Award Ceremony, Felicitation of the Chief Guest, a play ‘Whispering Waters’ written and directed by the Officiating Principal and the Vote Of Thanks . The evening was a kaleidoscope of colours with awards, speeches and stage performances that were well coordinated and spectacular. The audience was enthralled by the educational theme of the play ‘Whispering Waters’ that was based on the concept that Water has memory and the memory of human misuse and contamination will finally lead to water scarcity which will affect future generations drastically. The idea was that treatment meted out to water by human beings will be reciprocated by water. So, treat water well.
The Annual Awards for the Junior, Middle and Senior categories were presented by the Chief Guest. The ‘Spark of Ecole’ was won by Anika Bhaderia, Divya Godara and Ayat Azim, ‘Walking the Extra Miles’ went to Guarisha Jain, Antara Paul, and Siddhiksha Rana, ‘Overall Excellence’ was bagged by Arshi Grover, Ashi Khetan and Ayushi Pragya and the ‘Spirit of Ecole’ was won by the Bhavika Gupta and Sadhya Dilawari, Sanya Lakhiya and Sudeepta Talukdar. The Chief Guest congratulated the students and staff for a very successful year and motivated them to excel in all activities of all walks of life and strive to become successful responsible young ladies of the future. The evening was enjoyed immensely by the parents who were proud to witness the accomplishments of their wards. The grand finale, a benediction by the students for their parents etched moments to cherish.
The Chief Guest, in her address, congratulated Ecole Globale for providing world class quality education, which has always been the hallmark of Dehradun. She emphasised upon the importance of education for girls and motivated the students to strive to be independent, liberal, modern, literate and good human beings. The Chief Guest, from her own life experiences, stressed upon the imperatives of independent thought and action, to achieve all that one desires as well as satisfy both material and soulful wants, to lead a happy full filled life.
