On 4th November a group of 15 girls attended the Hungarian ensemble Muzsikás performance at The Doon School. It was an enchanting evening as the girls were exposed to music that has been preserved for hundreds of years. As the audience was submerged in the melodious strains it transported everyone to idyllic villages, where the locals used to play this music with utmost passion. The musical performance was followed by a Hungarian dance that instantly put a smile on all faces. The energetic combination of singing and dancing was pure bliss. It was fascinating to listen to the sound of ‘Gordor’ a rare instrument from Hungary which is thousands of years old. The Ecoliers also learnt lots of trivia like how the Hungarian instruments were made hundreds of years ago. What added more charm to the evening was the impeccable hospitality of Doon School
