Continuing their rendezvous with SPIC MACAY State Convention at Unison the Ecoliers had an exhilarating experience on day 2 and 3. Eminent environmentalist and author Dr Vandana Shiva stirred everyone with her speech and evoked feelings of love and respect for Mother Earth, the regard for resources and our culture.
The girls enjoyed captivating performances of Kathak dance by Shri Vishal Krishna from Banaras. Our children learnt the bhav-paksh with different mudras and expressions through the performance. The traditional THALI footwork was amazing.
The last performance of the day 2 showcased the traditional dance form Gotipua from the state of Orissa. The dance moves and breathtaking formations by the young ones left everyone speechless.
On the last day they enjoyed performances on Tabla, sitar, santoor and flute. Maestros like Shri Rohit Roy, Shri Parthu Roy Chowdhury, Shri Pradeep and Shri Rakesh Chaurasia left them mesmerized. Equally enjoyable was the Kuchipudi dance by Shri Jayarama Rao and Group.
