Trips & Expedition
Ecole Globale frequently organises some educational and adventurous trips, which are prolific for the students from a learning and recreational standpoint. The students have had various trips with their peers in the recent times, which have not only rejuvenated them, but also enlightened them about different aspects. The students have Mid-Term Outings in the middle of an Academic Year, where a 4 to 5-day trip is organised.
Recently, our girls had their Mid-Term Trip from 28 Sep to 1 Oct 2019, to Shimla, Chandigarh, Jim Corbett Park, Nainital and Mussoorie.During the trip they visited the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies in Shimla, Rock Garden and Elante Mall in Chandigarh, Robbers Cave, Bhimtal, Jim Corbett Park Museum and Girja Temple. The girls stayed in the pristine and beautiful environment of JW Marriot in Mussoorie, Rio Resort and Camp in Mussoorie and Tusker Trail Resorts in Jim Corbett Park.
The school also has a collaboration with IAYP (International Award for Young People), through which the students partake in certain adventure camps every year. This year, IAYP Bronze Level camp was organized at Rio Resort and Camp Site. The IAYP Camps are typical of adventurous campsites, where participating students learn to live with minimal resources, gain survival skills and learn about the nature in its most raw form. Some of the thrilling activities in the usual IAYP Camps are tent pitching, swimming, cycling, obstacle courses consisting of Burma Bridge, Commando Net, Rope Ladder, Double Rope Walk and Spider Web. There are some more games or activities that are aimed at team-building techniques, such as‘Fill the Bucket’, ‘Tug of War’, ‘Pipes and Marbles’ and ‘Perfect Square’.
What is most remarkable about such trips is that our girls enjoy the beautiful locales, capture their memorable experiences in photographs and arrive back refreshed and rejuvenated. They return back to campus with a lot more enthusiasm to take on better challenges, bond with their peers in a better way, and also learn about their abilities and shortcomings through these trips.
The comfort and security of every girl traveling for excursions or camps is paramount to us, which is why faculty members (male and female) travel with the students. Further, the security guards (including lady guards) ensure that girls are not unattended when they require protection in unknown locations.
